Portfolio Reports Just Got Smarter: Trade Areas, Drive Times and More, All in One Report

Aug 2026

Last year we launched Portfolio Reports to bring all your sites into one clear, comparable report. Since then, one piece of feedback has come up again and again: radius catchments are useful, but they’re not always the catchment that matters most to your business.

So we’ve built on it. Portfolio Reports now bring your saved geographies, Trade Areas, Layer-Based Trade Areas, Drive Time areas, and Custom Radius areas, into the same joined report as radius and drive-time. One workbook, one row per location, every catchment side by side.

What’s New in Portfolio Reports

● Trade Areas and Layer-Based Trade Areas, now measured alongside radius and drive-time, in the same report.

● Any combination of catchments. Mix radius, drive-time, and your saved areas across the same set of locations.

● Choose what you need. For locations with more than one saved area, pick the latest updated, the latest created, or all of them.

● A clean output either way. Pick “all” and the detail breaks out onto its own tab, so your main report stays one row per location.

● More context, built in. Include site details, like name, code, status, address, and opening date, in your export, to provide more context about each location or to aid regression analysis.

Why This Matters for Network Planning

See the Catchment That Actually Matters Not every business runs on a 1km radius. If your team plans around drawn trade areas, this update means that data now lives in the same report as the rest of your network, not in a separate one-location-at-a-time export.

Compare Sites Properly A location with five saved trade areas used to be hard to compare against one with a single radius catchment. Now you decide how it’s handled, so every site in your portfolio lines up the same way.

Built for Deeper Analysis Selecting “all” gives you every saved area for every location as its own row, a flattened structure that drops straight into BA tools, spreadsheets, or AI-assisted environments for more detailed offline analysis.

Keep Reporting Fast You still get a complete network snapshot in one export, whatever mix of catchments you’re working with.

How to Access the Update in GapMaps Live

If you have a GapMaps Live account:

● Select your locations.

● Add your catchments, radius, drive-time, or saved areas like Trade Areas and LBTAs.

● Choose your variables and, for saved areas, how you want them handled.

● Generate and download your Portfolio Report.

Please note: batch travel time queries currently support up to 2,000 locations. If you’re working at greater scale, reach out to your Customer Success Manager, there are usually better ways to access data at that volume.
