People & Culture Manager

FT or PT: 4 / 5 days a week
Location: Melbourne (hybrid, 2 days in the office).
*Permanent part-time, 30 hours per week, flexibility with days/hours over 4 full days or 5 shorter days.

People & Culture at GapMaps

 

We are looking for a P&C Manager to join our team based in Melbourne supporting a globally dispersed team. Reporting to the CEO, your expertise in all things people will focus on building out existing people processes, company culture, employee lifecycle to bring your flair.

As a foundational People & Talent hire, this newly created leadership position will provide support across all pillars of human resources & recruitment and help us design and implement best-in-class people processes as frameworks.

People

 

• Act as a trusted business partner for all things ‘people’ related across our global workforce

• Detailed understanding and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle; recruitment, onboarding, performance & compensation, professional development, ER, compliance, at global scale

• Work closely with the Executive team on business’ strategy and recommend People solutions to assist with its execution and delivery

• HRIS Management and accurate data entry (Employment Hero & Deel)

• EVP – be an advocate for employees and make GapMaps a leading place to work

• Improve and scale the benefits program

• Ensure compliance with legislation and Awards

• Own and continuously improve the onboarding and off-boarding workflows

• Transformation and change management practices

• Policy management (keep up to date with legislative changes).

 

Talent

 

• Manage an efficient, full-cycle recruitment process (job posting, phone screens, on-site interviews, negotiating and closing offers)

• Proactively source sales candidates through a variety of methods, building a consistent pipeline of talent for fluid hiring

• Curate an exceptional candidate experience at each point of contact from the initial outreach to offer letter stage.

 

Operational

 

• Operations / IT onboarding and off-boarding

• G-Suite and Slack management.

 

You will have

 

• Demonstrated Senior HR/People Operations experience (ideally 8+ years)

• Ability to operate in stand-alone role with strong influencing and negotiation skills

• Worked in a tech environment( ideally with a global workforce)

• Commercial mindset – knowledge of the various industries, the economy and environment to ensure a commercial lens

• Expertise working with HRIS & EOR platforms (Employment Hero, Deel, GSuite)

• Resilience and emotional intelligence – aware of situations, own emotional response and response of others and able to learn and adjust to challenges.

• Are passionate! As a self starter, you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and make things happen

• Are well versed with best practices in Awards and ER and policy management

• Maintain knowledge in legislative changes and legal requirements

• Have impeccable relationship building skills and are experienced working with high-touch individuals

• Have successfully supported a scaling business (ideally in tech)

• Are comfortable working with data to provide insight and recommendations.
